Park in Pokrovsky in the city of Vologda

The layout of the park is set by eight lime alleys, intersecting, forming a star. Since the time of Catherine II, lime trees were very popular in the estates of Russian landowners and were brought by merchants from special nurseries. The leaves of linden resemble a heart, so it is believed that linden brings love and happiness.

The main attraction of Pokrovsky is the garden bells, which bloom in early July. For a few days, the entire area of the park near the house turns into an amazing blue carpet.
