The bridge of kisses appeared in Vologda a few years ago, on July 7 - the official holiday of this beautiful occupation. On the occasion of the opening, several dozen couples gathered at it to participate in this international celebration in a simple way. And since then, in the botanical garden behind the bridge, the most romantic glory has taken hold.
The bridge of kisses is located in the park of the Vologda Car Repair Plant. Every summer there is a massive flash mob, when passers-by are lured to the bridge and offered to celebrate the international day of kissing, kissing everyone on it, regardless of gender and age. This holiday is so loved by the citizens that every July 7 they gather at the Dandelion fountain and with posters “Kiss me” arrange a procession to the bridge.
A good tradition has become a visit to the bridge for the newlyweds - a new family hangs a castle with their names on the fence of the bridge and throws the keys into the water, as a symbol of the inviolability of the marriage union. Judging by the number of castles on the bridge today, the demographic situation in Vologda is going uphill!
