Nikolskoe

Nikolskoe Lake, despite its small parameters, is very famous in the region. Many people come to him for fishing. It is a joke, because there are so many fish here that no lake in Vologda can boast of. Here you and pike, and shedding, and perch, and carp, and roach and many others.

As for the size of Nikolsky, its area is only six square kilometers. The length and width of the lake is almost the same and reaches three kilometers, thereby giving the pond the shape of a flat circle. By the way, this is a rarity for the Vologda region. Most of the lakes are elongated, there are even those that look like long rivers.

The water in Nikolsky Lake is slightly murky. It's all about duckweed. Where the banks are surrounded by reeds, the water is more or less clear. The bottom of the lake is covered with silt, sand or underwater plants. There are places cleared for the beach. You can safely swim without being afraid that you will run into a snag.
