River Tosna
Description:
Toshnia is a river 103 kilometers long, flowing in the Vologda region. The maximum width of the river reaches 12 meters, the depth is 2 meters.
The river begins west of Vologda and flows into the White Sea.
The river is very picturesque in the summer months, as it is immersed in greenery. Local fishermen chose the river, because it has a lot of fish, and the area near the river is used as hiking routes.
There is a dam on the river, which is located at the confluence of Toshni into the Vologda River, near Klubova Street. In hot months, the dam is used as an additional water intake for the needs of the city. Recently, the dam was repaired, and the amount of its repair amounted to 950 thousand rubles.
