Vologda College of Railway Transport is a federal state educational institution of secondary vocational education. The technical school prepares specialists for work in all sectors of railway transport. Technicum is one of the oldest institutions in the city. It annually produces 1,200 specialists, and for all the years of its work has produced almost 35,000 railway specialists. Since 2001, the technical school has been reopened to the museum.
The history of the birth of the technical school is the opening of a railway school in 1901, and in 1923 - obtaining the status of a technical school. In 2008, the technical school entered the 100 best SUZs of Russia.
