Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery (Kirillov district)
Description:
The Great Sovereign Fortress - such an epithet for centuries was fixed for the Kirrilo-Belozersky Monastery, founded in 1397. It was appropriated to our male monastery in the XVII century later deposed Russian Patriarch Nikon. The territory of the monastery occupies 12 hectares. It looks grandiose and from the water (at the walls splashes Lake Siver), and from the height of the bell tower, and, of course, on the most holy land.
