Monument to the Kitten from Lizyukov Street
ooh General Lizyukov, Voronezh, Voronezh region
Description:
Monument to the Kitten from Lizyukov Street is dedicated to the hero of the cartoon of the same name. The monument was erected on December 5, 2003.
The cartoon was shot by director Vyacheslav Kotenochkin and immediately gained popularity, especially among the residents of Voronezh, where Lizyukov Street is located.
After the decision on the need to put the monument, a competition was announced, in which Ira Povarova, a student of the eleventh grade, won. Sculptor Maxim Dikunov, having finalized the project, brought it to life.
The monument is a tree on which a crow and a kitten sit. Unfortunately, the monument was often attacked by vandals, so in 2012 it was recast in stainless steel. The sculptor added some striking details. For example, the crown of the tree became green, the kitten received a pink nose, and the crow - pink claws with rhinestones.
