Monument to V.S. Vysotsky

ooh Karla Marx, 59, Voronezh, Voronezh region 394000, Russian Federation

Description:

The monument of Vladimir Vysotsky is one of the many Voronezh monuments, of which there are about fifty in the city. It was installed in 2009 in a small green square next to the Institute of Physical Education, where a pedestrian stretch of the street passes. Despite the fact that the biography of Vysotsky in no way intersected with Voronezh, the monument is organically inscribed in the urban environment, despite the opinion of critics who consider the location of the monument in this place illogical.

After the idea of creating such a monument was first announced, a special commission considered several options for the monument. As a result, the project of the famous Voronezh sculptor Maxim Dikunov was approved. He depicted Vysotsky sitting with a guitar in his hands on a chair, resting with one hand on the back of a chair. Bronze sculpture very accurately conveys not only the appearance of Vysotsky, but also in the opinion of his friends and relatives his attitude and characteristics of character.
