Light and Music Fountain in Koltsov Square

The fountain in Koltsovsky Square, launched in 1876, was a single stream 5 m high, rising under the natural pressure of the water supply network. Spring 1977: The fountain was reconstructed into the first light and music fountain. His beauty pleased the audience and became a decoration of the square. There were appointments, business meetings. A few years ago, the fountain stopped working as a light-musical fountain for technical and material reasons. Summer 2007: Anti-crisis manager of MUP Vodokanal Voronezh A. Karjakin and the team decided to restore the light and music fountain. The company VODALUX took part in the reconstruction. Installed 50 additional foam nozzles and more than 100 lamps with LED lighting. One lamp gives three colors: red, blue, green. The fountain began to have a light control system, giving a special look to the water jets that fill the fountain bowl with various colors. In ascending skyscrapers sparkling multi-colored jets, in crumbling splashes, in falling cascades of water melodies of songs are interwoven. Thanks to the new electronic unit and LED lamps in the technical equipment of the fountain, the consumption of electricity in the park decreased significantly on September 6, 2007: on the birthday of the city of Voronezh, the updated light and music fountain was solemnly opened, it worked again in the light of the spotlights.
