General Lizyukov Street

Lizyukov Street in the Kominternovsky district of the city of Voronezh received its name in honor of General Alexander Ilyich Lizyukov, Hero of the Soviet Union. The street is three kilometers long. It was built on the airfield of the former airfield.

There is a monument to the hero of the animated film “Kitten from Lizyukov Street” kitten Vasa, invented by a writer from Voronezh Vitaly Markovich Zlotnikov. According to V.I. Kononov, this is the third monument in the world, put animated hero. Also on Lizyukov Street there is a monument "Voronezh - the birthplace of the Airborne Forces" and five intersections.
