About the company:

The department "The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" ("Arsenal") of the Voronezh Regional Museum of Local Lore is located in the building, which housed the former cloth factory of merchant I.Y. Gardenin, built in the second half of the VIII century. From 1815 to 1847, it housed the Cantonist School. Since the second half of the XIX century, the building has acquired a modern look, and from the same time it was given the name Arsenal.

In 1979, the building was transferred to the Voronezh Regional Museum of Local Lore. After restoration work since 1983, it housed an exposition dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.

In 2020, a completely updated exposition dedicated to the battle for Voronezh and the life of the Voronezh people during the Great Patriotic War was opened in the Arsenal building.
