Priutino is a picturesque corner of the city of Vsevolozhsk near St. Petersburg. It was the estate of Alexei Nikolaevich Olenin, the first director of the Public Library, the president of the Academy of Arts, one of the few country estates of the XIX century that have survived to this day near St. Petersburg. The main building has an exposition telling about the life of the estate, about those events in the history of Russia, its culture and art, which are associated with the names of people who visited Priyutino. In most rooms, the interiors corresponding to their purpose are recreated: an office, a living room, a dining room, a bedroom ... The exposition not only gives an idea of what the Olenin house could look like, but also contains memorial, pictorial, documentary materials about the life of the family and its ties with contemporaries: portraits, landscapes, sketches, personal belongings, autographs, books. |
The shelter is a rare example of a manor complex built of red unplastered brick. A number of manor buildings reveal the influence of N. A. Lviv. |
