Description:

The Transfiguration Cathedral of Vyborg was built in 1787 and is an example of classic architecture of the late XVIII - early XIX century. The monument is protected by the state. The author of the building was the Vyborg provincial architect Johann Brockman, who used the sketch project of N. Lvov. In 1892, the cathedral became a cathedral.

Inside the temple is richly painted and decorated with frescoes. The dome space of the church is decorated with a five-tier panicadilo with 120 candles and small chandeliers with 64 candles, on which A. Dipner worked. The temple has three thrones: the main one - in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the right aisle - in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the left one - in honor of the icon of the Most Holy Mother of God "All Who Sorrow Joy."

The main shrines of the temple are the Unmade Image of the Savior and the icon of the Mother of God “All Who Sorrow to Joy.”
