Yalutorovsk Museum Complex

The state institution of culture of the Tyumen region "Yalutorovsky Museum Complex" is rightly called the visiting card of the city of Yalutorovsk and the pearl of the tourist treasury of the Tyumen region.

Over 80 years of its history, the names have repeatedly changed: "Museum of the local region", "Museum of Decembrists", "Museum of Local Lore", "Museum of Local History of Decembrists", "Museum Complex", but the museum has always remained in the center of the cultural life of the region, fulfilling the main task of preserving, studying and popularizing the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Yalutorovsk and Yalutorovsk district and the entire Tyumen region.

The museum complex is actively engaged in publishing activities. In 2002, a collection of scientific articles "Edges of History" was published. With the active participation of the staff of the museum complex, the books "Yalutorovsk: Trace in History" (2003), "Yalutorovsky District: Events and Destinies" (2004), "The Name in the History of Yalutorovsk" (2008) were prepared, three issues of the historical and local history almanac "Yavlutur-Gorodok" (2006, 2007, 2008), the booklet "Twenty Bright Decembers" (2008) were published.

The museum complex is a repeated participant and diploma winner of professional competitions of regional, regional, All-Russian and International level. He became the winner of the II and III regional competitions "Museum of the Year". Eurasia" was awarded gold medals in the nominations: "Not by word, but by deed" (2007), "Museum Conference" (2008). The publication of the museum - historical and local lore almanac "Yavlutur - town" received a diploma of the II degree in the special nomination "Media of the Year - 2008". In 2007, the museum complex became a diplomat of the First Tyumen International Tourism Exhibition "Discover Your Siberia" and one of the winners of the regional competition "The best organization of the tourism industry in the Tyumen region" in the nomination "Promoting the development of the tourist market of the Tyumen region". In 2008 GUK TO "Yalutorovsky Museum Complex" became the winner of this competition in the nomination "Best Museum - 2008".

The museum took an active part in the Internet project "Seven Wonders of Russia", announced by the newspaper "Izvestia", TV channel "Russia", radio "Mayak" and in the II round received 27427 votes of Internet users and SMS messages. In the Ural Federal District, our museum was second only to the Tobolsk Kremlin. According to the results of the vote, in which 386 applicants participated, the museum entered the top twenty wonders of Russia.
