Excursion to the historical Tolga monastery of Yaroslavl

Tolga Monastery in the city of Yaroslavl is one of the most landscaped and exemplary female monasteries in Russia and the center of attraction for pilgrims and tourists from all over the country. In my professional opinion, this monastery can be compared to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra or Diveyevo convent.

Every year Patriarch Kirill comes to the monastery and all Russian presidents have visited it.

The architecture of the buildings of the monastery founded in 1314, the virgin purity and well-groomed territory, which is drowned in flowers, will amaze you. Tolga is a quiet and peaceful place where we will try monastic cakes with birch juice, feed almost tame karasses of the monastery pond, communicate with black and white swans, ducks, admire the real multicolored lotuses growing in the pond - and you will want to return there again more than once, because Tolga is beautiful both in winter and summer!
