During the tour you will hear the history of ancient Yaroslavl, learn when and why our city was the unofficial capital of Russia, why the city center is included in the UNESCO list and in what century the products produced in our city were sold for export to England, Holland and Denmark.

We will start the tour near the walls of the former Spassky Monastery, where in the early 17th century the headquarters of the Minin and Pozharsky militia were located, and now the Yaroslavl Museum is located - a reserve, we will see the chapel and other objects depicted on the 1000 ruble banknote of the Bank of Russia (and if desired, we will take a photo with an increased banknote). We will walk along the Kotoslnaya embankment and consider three temples of the XVII century: the Archangel Michael, the Savior on the City and Nikola the Rubbed City. I will tell you which of them the daughter of the Horde Khan ordered to build and how to decipher their names. And I will also show the majestic Assumption Cathedral, built only 10 years ago. One of the most beautiful places in Yaroslavl is Strelka, connecting the Volga and Kotorosl. You will admire its panorama and walk along the picturesque Volga embankment. I will show you the ancient Metropolitan Chambers and tell you an almost detective story about the discovery of 81 icons in the attic of the building in 1977.

In addition, we will see important city monuments: a monument to the Victims of the White Guard rebellion and an obelisk in honor of the victory in the Second World War. I will reveal how the city lived in these difficult times and how much of it was completely destroyed. A walk at the walls of the wonderful temple of Elijah the Prophet will end.

For children 5-10 years old, teenagers and adults, I have prepared two small "lyrical retreats" - two quizzes.
