Description:
Feodorovskaya Church is now operating and is located at the address Big Fedorovskaya Street, 72.
The history of the cathedral begins at the end of the XVII century, when this building was built with the support of a certain R.L. Eremin. According to the local story, the residents took the Ascension Church as a reference. However, the builders enlisted the help of professionals much later, when the building needed a roof.
The temple received its name in honor of the Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God, and at the beginning of the XVIII century it acquired, among other things, frescoes of the Ignatiev-Fedorov artel and high galleries, and at the end of the same century the Tikhvin chapel.
It was closed for an indefinite time in 1930, later it was transferred to believers in 1987 in a renovated form. Currently, visitors are delighted with five expressive chapters, and a charming silhouette, emphasized by a four-sided roof.
