October Bridge

Description:

The October Bridge, located in the city of Yaroslavl and named in honor of the anniversary of the holiday of the socialist revolution, was built and opened in the second half of the XX century.

The social significance of this building is extremely great and is due to the fact that for a long time the October Bridge was the only link between the various districts of Yaroslavl, which are located on different sides of the Volga River.

The length of the bridge is 800 meters (taking into account all the access structures). Despite its short length, this bridge is one of the longest structures on the Volga River. From 2013 to 2014, a complete reconstruction of the October Bridge was carried out.

Today, the bridge is also a road between the areas of Yaroslavl, located on opposite banks of the Volga, but not the only one. The bridge can be reached by private or public transport.
