Smolenskoe Manor

smolensk village, Pereslavl district, Yaroslavl region

Description:

Smolenskoe estate is located in the city of Yaroslavl, and more precisely - in the small village of Smolenskoe, Pereslavl district. You can get there by car or taxi.

Smolensk is the largest country ensemble in Yaroslavl. The estate was built around 1779 by the landowner Svinin. The building was removed very beautifully, combining the classical and Baroque style. Its layout resembles a horseshoe of large size, which is stretched in width.

The estate consisted of the main house, which was connected by arc-shaped bulk wings. One had a theater and the other had a small church. Around the perimeter of this estate was a forged fence with a front gate. There is also an orchard with a variety of trees that have survived to this time.

In 1874, the Pigs sold their estate to the Kozlovsky family, but they did not change this architectural structure.

At the moment, in one of the wings there is a museum, and in the second you can see the library. The main house is equipped for a general education school. Previously, the existing facilities have not survived until this time. But the rest of the estate is in primary condition to this day.
