Museum of Jams

ooh Soviet, 2, Gavrilov-Yam, Yaroslavl region, 152240

About the company:

The museum is part of the museum complex "Country of the Digger". The complex is dedicated to the case of the digger, who previously worked in the village a significant part of the population, and tells about all the intricacies of his work.

The place of the museum was chosen according to the history - earlier Gavrilov-Yam was founded by Gavrila, and kept a postal station here. Since then, the city has become the center of tamers who traveled to Moscow, Suzdal and Yaroslavl.

Today, the museum has restored the atmosphere of the time when the diggers on their threes were the main means of transportation, except for walking, of course. The museum presents several expositions, including open air. Here you can see the house of the distiller, with furniture, dishes and other decoration corresponding to that time.

Also on the territory of the museum there are tools, details and devices that were used by the dimmers. Interested visitors can try themselves in the role of a boxer, watch competitions or pass a master class.
