About the company:

The museum is located in the monument of history and culture of the estate of N.A. Nekrasov “Karabikha”, which is an architectural ensemble of the XVIII – early XX centuries. Some of the buildings are set aside for expositions, some are used as office premises of the museum, some remain occupied with residential premises since the time of placement in the former farm estate. The territory of the museum is about 5 hectares, most of which is occupied by memorial parks Upper and Lower, as well as a picturesque ravine with a cascade of ponds and a stream called “Gremikha”.

Most of the museum collection consists of books that duplicate the lost manor library of the poet, publications of his works, literature of the modern N.A. Nekrasov period, publications of Nekrasov journals “Contemporary” and “Fatherland Notes”, other rare editions of historical and artistic content. The book collection of the museum was completed during the period of the museum’s existence (mainly in the period of the late 1940s – 1960s).
