This is the soul and heart of Kostroma, the textbook cradle of the Romanov House, an object of cultural heritage of Russia. The monastery rises

on the gentle bank of the Kostroma River, reflecting its ancient walls, squat towers and golden cupolas of the cathedral in the quiet course of its waters. The fate of the Ipatiev Monastery is inextricably linked with the fate of Russia: in 1613 Mikhail Romanov, the founder of the future 300-year dynasty of Russian sovereigns, was elected to the kingdom here. At the Monastery you are given time for self-examination or free time.

Next you will visit the Kostroma Sloboda - it is not just a collection of wooden buildings - it is a living, breathing testimony to the skill of Russian builders. The air here is thick with the smell of pine and a whisper of history. Look at the houses, feel the rough logs under your hand, imagine the people who lived within these walls. The houses here are quite diverse in size, performance and furnishings: there are spacious and rich, and there are small ones. In houses, as usual, kitchen utensils, shops, chests, icons and other household items. Nearby is a chapel and a church, wells, woodcutters and outbuildings. All right.

Authentic and real, as if there really was someone here recently pricked firewood or take a trough and walk on the water.
