About the company:

The museum dates back to 1969, when thanks to the efforts of the ascetic enthusiast, history teacher F.P. Pavlov, a school museum was organized in the Mari-Turek school. In 1980, by order of the Council of Ministers of the Mari ASSR, he was given the status of a branch of the Republican Museum of Local History, and he received the name of a native of Mari-Turek, the first Mari academician V.P. Mosolov.

More than 10,000 people visit the museum every year. Currently, more than 4,500 items are in the funds. Among them, the most valuable are the exhibits of the archaeological and ethnographic collection. In the museum you can see folk costumes and household items, a collection of rare coins and historical weapons, unique documents and photographs. The Department of Nature introduces representatives of the flora and fauna of the region. Here are herbaria and stuffed animals. The museum is equipped with modern interactive tools.
