Quiet Bay

Makarovsky district, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia

Description:

Tikhaya Bay is an extremely picturesque and amazing place, which is located in the Bay of Patience, on the east coast of Sakhalin. "Quiet" bay called the first Russian navigator Ivan Kruzenshtern.

On the territory of the bay grows sea rosehip, thermopsy, aralia, mertense and other vegetation. The sand in the bay is only in the coastal strip, the main part of it is occupied by black-brown rocks and large stones sticking out of dense sandstone. In the bay there is a rocky islet "Noticeable" with a flat top and a wide base. It is impossible to get close to the rock, so there are always a lot of noisy seagulls on it.

In the bay, it is good to go fishing by boat. In general, the silence in the bay is incomparable, however, sometimes the peace is disturbed by seagulls.
