Lake Variable
Description:
Variable Lake is located in Korsakov district in the south of Sakhalin Island. Its total area is 8.2 square kilometers. The lake is quite deep and salty. Flows into the Sea of Okhotsk.
Variable Lake is famous for its healing properties due to sea sulfide mud, helping to get rid of skin and gynecological diseases. There is a magnificent pine forest adjacent to the lake.
The water in the lake is sea, salty. Locals and tourists love fishing here. In the lake there are navaha, serpent, smelt and other valuable fish. If you have diving equipment, you have every chance to catch the “sea spider” – a large Sakhalin crab. Also, this unique crab can be bought from local experienced fishermen.
