Lake Tauro
Description:
Tauro is a lagoon lake on the island of Sakhalin, in the Uglegorsk municipal district of the Sakhalin region. On the shore of this lake is the city of Shakhtersk, where about 8000 people live.
Near the lake is a narrow-gauge railway of the Shakhtar loading and transport management. The area of the lake is only about 3 kilometers.
Lake Tauro offers beautiful mountain views for exemplary landscape photographs. The distance from Lake Tauro to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk is about 250 kilometers.
