Museum-Salon of Classical Culture

In the city of Zarechny there is a local history museum, as well as a museum-salon of classical culture, which has an interesting history. Initially, a museum dedicated to M.Y. Lermontov was created, in the future, on the basis of its exposition, which was significantly supplemented, a museum-salon of classical culture began to operate. Today, the museum houses works by Semenov, an artist from St. Petersburg, sculptural works by Kacherovsky-Kurdov, many works by local painters and graphic artists. The museum-salon is the base for the association of artists in Zarechny. The exhibits of the museum are aimed at highlighting the most interesting culture of the native land, showing the originality of Penza art.

The city of Zarechny is closed, one of the ten cities closed due to the existence of the nuclear industry there. The population of the city is 70 thousand people.
