Monument to Georgy Vicinu
Description:
People’s Artist was born in Zelenogorsk in 1918, however, this city until 1948 bore the Finnish name Terioki. The bronze monument, which was installed in the small homeland of Vicin, was cast in Poland and weighs 300 kg, and its height is 2.4 meters.
Vicin appears before citizens and tourists in the role of the hero from the movie “Marriage of Balzaminov” based on the play by A. N. Ostrovsky. He leans on the cane and embarrassedly lifts the pot. Tragic under the mask of a clown - this is how the sculptor Yuri Kryakvin saw Vitsina during almost three years of work on the monument.
