Dachshund monument
Description:
The bronze sculpture of Arsen Avetisyan so pleased the residents of the city that it actually became one of its symbols. The monument was erected in 2002, and three years later, on City Day, next to the monument, the city authorities first organized a gathering of dachshund owners with their pets. It has since become a tradition.
Come to visit and lovers of this breed with their pets from St. Petersburg - a collection of dachshunds and owners turns out to be very funny. The festive column always marches along the main street to the square, there is a parade of dachshunds, in which they compete in different categories: “The longest dachshund”, “The most spotted”, “The most shaggy”. The holiday always attracts many citizens and tourists.
