Day of the coup d'état of 1941.

Description:

Dusan Simovic

After March 25, 1941, under pressure from Germany, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia joined the Berlin Pact (originally the military-political alliance of Germany, Italy and Japan).

On March 27, 1941, as a result of a military coup in Belgrade, Regent-Prince Pavel Karadjordjevic was overthrown and minor King Peter II Karadjordjevic was enthroned.

The government of Dragishe Cvetkovic and Vlatko Macek was also overthrown, and a new, anti-German government led by Dusan Simovic was formed in its place.
