Museum of History of Yugoslavia
Boti & #263 eva 6, Belgrade, Serbia
About the company:
The museum was opened in 1996 when the Josip Broz Tito Memorial Center and the Museum of the Revolution decided to merge into one institution. In Belgrade, the Museum of the History of Yugoslavia is considered one of the most popular places among tourists, with over 100,000 visitors per year. People come here from almost all European countries, but recently there is a high activity among tourists from China and Korea.
The collection of the museum is divided into 20 thematic expositions, which tell about the rather short history of the development of Yugoslavia, which is less than a hundred years old. The subjects of the expositions are the most diverse - from archaeological exhibits to historical documents, as well as a large collection of gifts to the permanent leader of the state Josip Broz Tito. In the building of the Old Museum you can see many ethnographic exhibits, including decorated towels and tablecloths made by hand, as well as musical instruments and tools.
