About the company:
Hotel Moscow is the oldest operating hotel in Belgrade. This building became one of the most recognizable sights of the capital of Serbia and an architectural monument, so it was placed under state protection.
Hotel Moscow was built in 1906 and opened on January 16, 1908 by the King of Serbia - Peter I Karadjordjevic. The building was built with the help of Russian capital, which is why it got its name.
During World War II, in 1941, the Gestapo moved into the hotel, turning it into its headquarters. In the postwar period, the hotel became a favorite place of the cultural elite. She was once loved by the Yugoslav Nobel Prize winner in literature, Ivo Andric, and the poet Vasko Popa, who became a regular visitor to the restaurant in this hotel.
To a large extent, the hotel is famous for its restaurant and pastry. Initially, the hotel combined French and Serbian cuisine, but today Moscow offers a wide range of different cuisines, which is quite rare in Belgrade.
Today, the hotel has two restaurants, a snack bar, a famous old-fashioned cafe, as well as a summer garden popular with guests of the institution. During the existence of the hotel, it was visited by such celebrities as Robert de Niro, Mila Jovovich, Jack Nicholson, Michael Douglas and Alfred Hitchcock.
