St. Anne National Marine Park
5 km west of Victoria, Mahe Island, Seychelles
Description:
St. Anne National Marine Park is a very unusual reserve in the Indian Ocean, which includes the territory of six islands and the areas of the sea in between. The park is located a few kilometers west of Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles.
Saint Anne National Marine Park was founded in 1973. Since then, this unique reserve has gained worldwide fame and annually attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world. Tours of the park involve visiting each of the six islands, as well as observing the life of marine life in the straits between them - a special yacht with a transparent bottom is used for this. And for the sake of preserving the ecosystem in the marine park of St. Anne it is forbidden to fish, litter and use motor boats.
The islands are also unusually interesting - there you can watch the nests of rare tropical birds, see giant sea turtles, visit pirate graves on the shore or just enjoy the wild untouched nature. Also in the park there is a diving center, and everyone can scuba dive in one of the most beautiful places on the planet - this impression is remembered for a long time.
