Deroche Island
Seychelles, southwest of Mahe Island
Description:
To the southeast of Mahe Island is a group of Amirantes, the largest of which is Deroche Island. The island has a small territory - its length is about 7 kilometers. It is surrounded by coral reefs.
The peculiarity of this island is that its most interesting sights - caves, corridors, tunnels - are under water.
This is a real paradise for scuba divers and divers. Incredible labyrinths created by nature can be seen in the ocean waters.
No less interesting is the world of underwater inhabitants - here you can meet catfish, sea rays, parrot fish, sea turtles, eels. Amazing in color and shape and coral thickets.
Deroche Island is also attractive for windsurfers – from May to October, winds blow here and create excellent conditions for riding the waves.
