Moyen Island
North coast of Mahe Island, Seychelles
Description:
Moyenne is a small island belonging to the Seychelles group. Moyen is part of the National Marine Park of St. Anne and is a small natural reserve.
Moyenne is an island whose area does not exceed 9 hectares. Until 2012, the island was privately owned, but its sole owner died, and today Moyen is part of the Republic of Seychelles.
Unlike the other islands of the archipelago, Moyen is more famous for its history than for its natural beauty. The fact is that the island has long been considered a haven of pirates and there are still rumors that somewhere in the territory of Moyen buried treasure. Over the years, many attempts have been made to find the treasure, but none have been successful. Also an important attraction of the island are the old pirate graves, which can also be visited during the tour.
