Point Ellis House Museum
About the company:
The Point Ellis House Museum tells the story of the founders of Victoria. The museum garden is proud of its unique collection of roses.
Ellis House Point is an old Victorian house built by the Ellis family in 1861. This is the last surviving building of the time: a modest farmhouse and several cottages that were used for household needs.
Today, the museum houses an exhibition dedicated to the history of Canada. Visitors will be offered to plunge into the life of that time - the staff is dressed in historical costumes, and the atmosphere inside the house is as close as possible to the middle of the XIX century. Especially famous are the evenings in the museum, when guests are invited to tea parties.
The gardeners of Point Ellis House were able to preserve rare species of flowers and a unique variety of local roses.
