Vedd tribe
Description:
The Veddas are the indigenous people of Sri Lanka. These tribes, lost in the forests of the island, still lead a primitive way of life: they hunt with bows and arrows, collect wild honey.
Today, the tribes number only a few thousand people.
The Veddhas fervently believe in spirits that help them live. Before each important event, they perform ritual dances to appease their gods.
The Veddhas keep their traditions and refuse to move to the cities.
But you have a unique opportunity to look into this primitive forest world, going on an excursion to the tribe.
