The tour begins with a transfer by car to the southern coast of the island - Mirissa. We need to get on the boat. The trip will take 3 to 5 hours. From an hour to two, the boat sails to a place where you can currently find whales. The location of whales is determined by echolocation, as well as by communication with other tourist vessels. Along the way, beautiful sea views, and then you will get into a protected area, through which the path of various marine life passes: 26 species of dolphins, whales: Blue, White, Indigo.
Blue whales migrate from December to April from the coast of Africa to the Bay of Bengal. The spectacle is unique, as you can observe whales only at a distance of 5-7 kilometers from the coast. Whales float to the surface and go deep, showing their back and tail. Whales breathe oxygen and are forced to surface every 10-15 minutes. They throw the tail outwards so that under the weight of their own gravity they go deeper into the input, where they can find food.
The blue whale is the largest whale, and the largest modern animal. It is also probably the largest animal that has ever lived on Earth. The length of the whale reaches 33 meters, and the weight can significantly exceed 150 tons.
After returning to land, you will visit the Dutch port fortress Halle.
Galle Granite Fort was built in 1663 (it is included in the UNESCO List of Modern Heritage). Galle is the largest surviving fortress in Asia, it was created by European colonizers. The fort, with its 14 massive fortifications, proper street layout and some original Dutch-style single-storey houses, is full of bustling life, just as it was when Galle was the country's main passenger port. This is one of the most unique sights of Sri Lanka.
