Burlenge Airport
Description:
Swedish airport Burlenge is known as "Dala". Built during the Second World War. It underwent a complete reconstruction in the 60s of the last century - since that time it began to receive civilian aircraft, although the airfield actually remained the property of the Swedish Armed Forces until 2007.
Dala is focused on domestic flights, the peak of its functional activity occurred in the early 90s of the 20th century. Since then, the number of passengers carried has steadily decreased, most likely due to the construction and commissioning of the expressway connecting to Stockholm.
Currently, the airport accepts not only domestic flights. In summer you can fly from here to Turkey, Greece or Mallorca, and in winter to the Canaries.
