Park Slotskogen
DOVHJORTSSTIGEN 10, 413 11 Goteborg, Sweden
Description:
Slotskogen is a popular park located in the center of the Swedish city of Gothenburg. It is considered one of the best places to relax in the city, and includes an open-air zoo, a picturesque penguin pond, a golf, football and softball playground and much more.
In the seventeenth century, when Gothenburg was founded, Slotskogen was an impenetrable forest. In the 80s of the XIX century, a city park with beautiful lawns and many green trees was created from it.
The park hosts the famous Way Out West festival, which gathers thousands of tourists from different parts of the world. Slotskogen is also known for the rarest animals living in the zoo. Here you will find a giant reservation of spotted deer, beautiful wild horses, ponies, as well as a pool with seals (in winter, penguins live in the pool).
