Slottsparken Park
Få gelbacken, (Kung Oscars vä g 4), 211 33 Malmo, Sverige
Description:
"Slottsparken" or "Castle Park" was opened in Malmo near the castle Malmö hus in 1900. Its landscape is open fields and grass lawns, large areas of forest. The main theme of the park was water – there are two ponds and swamps, decorated as Japanese gardens. In the park is the famous statue of Carl Milles “Man and Pegasus”. Slottsparken Garden has a farm where you can buy organic vegetables, spices and flowers.
In the central part of the park, various events are held on a large platform, including concerts, both folk and famous rock bands. Moving along the canal, you will see the sculpture of Gerhard Henning "Liggande pige". In the southern part there is a children's fairy-tale playground, which depicts the struggle between good and evil in a fairy-tale world. Also in the park you can see perennial plants and an interesting white flowering garden.
In winter, visitors are interested in a small pond of the park, which is illuminated by various colorful illuminations.
