Malmo Museum of Modern Art

The Malmo Museum of Modern Art is a branch of the Museum of the same name in Stockholm. Here are works of art of the XX and XXI centuries, including works by Dali, Picasso, Matisse and other great artists. It is located on 22 Gasverksgatan Street in the old power plant building.

The building of 809 square meters was completely renovated and in 2009 a museum was opened here. Only the engine room remained unchanged. Interesting facade of the building, which has the appearance of a perforated orange metal fabric. Through cooperation with the Stockholm Museum, the Malmo Museum of Contemporary Art exhibits are changed several times a year. It also organizes independent exhibition programs, excursions and lectures for children and adults.

The museum operates from 11:00 to 18:00, the day off is Monday. In the museum store you can buy interesting souvenirs, and in the cafe - enjoy a cup of coffee with delicious cookies.
