The Brilliance of the Nobel Banquet: Organization and Crazy Logistics!
Description:
Every year on the evening of December 10, every self-respecting Swede puts aside everything and sits down in front of the TV - the broadcast of the Nobel banquet begins!
I invite you to walk along the route of Nobel laureates, learn about the features and ritual of awarding the most prestigious award, the quirks of etiquette of the secular party of the present and the beginning of the XX century, hear the legends and were about the founder of the award Alfred Nobel, his difficult life path. Of course, we will visit the famous Blue Hall, imagine the whirling of laureates in the waltz in the Golden Hall.
During the tour, I will focus on organizing the largest banquet in Sweden. We will reflect on the problems of cooking for 1300 guests and their preparation. Why are there so many flowers at the banquet and where do they come from? How and where do florists work? And where do tables, chairs, dishes and tablecloths come from?
