Sea trip around Stockholm (summer only).
Description:
At first we were going to go by car, and then we decided to use public transport and at 8 a.m. we were already sitting on the train. Then the bus, and at 9:00 by car ferry. An almost hour-long trip took us to the picturesque island of Orneux. We were very surprised that no one took money for the ferry and only at the dock of the island we found out that only departure is paid here. The cost is 50 kroner per person or 200 kroner per car. Here we regretted that we abandoned the car, because we had to walk about 7 kilometers to the town itself. By the way, nature there is the most beautiful: pine and spruce forests, juniper thickets, white moss, multicolored and herbs, and blueberries, lingonberries, cloudberries and strawberries literally at every step. Pretty farmland and farms, a farm where you can buy eggs and potatoes, horses. And then suddenly, along the road, a stone wall appears and we realize that we must look beyond it. It turns out that here in the early twentieth century there were quarries where feldspar was mined and now they look like scenery for films are beautiful and terribly dangerous. As we walked a little further we saw a small church. So bright and cozy that I wanted to stay a little longer. By the way, periodically there are concerts of famous chamber groups performing classical music. But what surprised us most was that there is a museum in Orneux. The inhabitants of the island honor the heritage of their ancestors and are happy to tell guests not only the story, but also myths and legends. Unfortunately, we could not go further. It was as if the sky was torn apart and a stream of water fell on our heads. Fortunately, not far from the museum was a very cute restaurant, where we had a great lunch and made one discovery: it turns out that compote is not a drink, but a dessert. The pier was visible from the restaurant window and we were glad to learn that it is not necessary to return to the car ferry, but you can ride a comfortable boat directly to the city center. Having bought in a bakery fragrant pastries, we went on a sea trip. The weather showed all its charms. We managed to tan and freeze, get wet and dry. However, the three-hour trip flew by like a single instant. At first we took a lot of pictures, then we drank coffee (warmed), took pictures again, choking with delight. But when the village with the funny name Buu passed, the cameras were removed, silenced and simply enjoyed the beauty that opened up to our eyes. I have lived in Stockholm for many years. I flew in, came in and came to it in different ways, but only now I was able to see and feel how magnificent and solemn it is.
