Stockholm

Stockholm Metro is a magical underground cave!

Description:

The Stockholm Underground, or Tunnelbana, is a unique station carved into the rock and the longest art gallery in the world.

I invite you to my tour of the most interesting stations. All of them were designed in different ways, by different artists, sculptors, and sometimes by citizens and children. The metro is a transport service that is used daily by hundreds of thousands of citizens. An ordinary trip becomes an exciting journey - you just need to be an observant passenger!

The Stockholm metro – 109 km and 100 stations – is the largest metro in the world per capita, it is three branches (Green, Red and Blue), branching and flying under the Stockholm cliffs in different directions.

I will take you to the most “right” places with stunning views for photos, tell you about the history of creation and curious nuances of subway design. I will show stations carved into the rocks, where the naturalness and love of the Swedes for their nature are emphasized - moss is visible on the walls and water oozes, there is a minimum of concrete and there is no advertising at all - a real pristine cave - and this is stunning with its unusualness!

Let’s talk about modern trends in design: the metro is upset and the 70s of the XX century were replaced by a new vision of the world of the XXI century, where designers sometimes start not from what you can see and touch, but from their inner experiences. For example, one of the modern stations is stylized represented by a cardiogram of the heartbeat of the unborn baby of the designer himself.

Looking at Stockholm from a different angle is definitely worth it! Write! Together we will create the route that is most interesting for you!
