Slussen Quay
Slussplan 11, 111 30 Stockholm, Sweden
Description:
Slussen is the largest and most famous transport interchange in Stockholm. The name of the embankment comes from the locks that provide water communication between the lake and the sea. The first gateway, named after Queen Cristina, was built here in 1642.
Slussen Quay is the gateway to Stockholm’s Old Town, Gamla Stan. It is also a terminal for many ships, such as Viking Line ferries. Walking along this wonderful promenade, you can admire the numerous ships in the port, and also from here you can make a trip to the island of the Jurgården Museums.
