From the end of the XIX – beginning of the XX century, the embankment attracted the attention of very rich people. Chic houses were built here, belonging to famous industrialists, merchants, entrepreneurs. Over time, these original, elegant buildings, in the style of neoclassicism, settled politicians and businessmen. From their windows opens a chic view of the embankment, where small ships are moored.
