Djurgå rden, ostermalm, Stockholm, Sweden

Description:

Jurgården Island is located very close to the center of Stockholm. Once a favorite hunting spot for Swedish kings, it is now one of the most famous sights in the city.

Here are the Unibakken Museum (Junibacken), the Scandinavian Museum (Nordiska Museet), the Vasa Museum (Vasamuseet), the Ethnographic Museum (Skansen), the Aquaria Museum (Aquaria). Each of them is unique in its own way. In the Unibakken Museum you will find the fairy-tale world of children's writer Astrid Lindgren, the Scandinavian Museum will introduce you to the history of Sweden, and the most popular museum on the island "Vasa" is nothing but a fully preserved royal ship of the XVII century.

Skansen is the world’s first open-air museum. It can be said that this museum-village represents the whole of Sweden in miniature. Children will love the small water museum "Aquaria", where you can see various inhabitants of the seas, lakes and rivers. On the island there are other museums, as well as many cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops.
