Queen Drottninggatan Street

Drottninggatan 71a, 113 60 Stockholm, Sweden

Description:

Drottninggatan, or "Queen Street", is Stockholm's main pedestrian street, consisting of an endless string of shops that stretch for almost a kilometer. The street connects the districts of Gamla Stan and Vasastaden.

At night, the street becomes like a long bright garland consisting of motley screaming signs. Tourists first of all go to this street not only to buy wonders and antiques, but also just to look at the variety of things and shops.

On the street you can buy antique things, old books, vinyl and compact discs, souvenirs, branded clothes. Shopping dilutes a huge number of cafes, restaurants and other eateries in which you can have a snack and tune in for a further walk.

The final point of a walk along the street will be a rest on the grass in the city park Observatorylanden.
