Astrid Lindgren Museum

Galarvarvsvagen 8, 115 21 Stockholm, Sweden

About the company:

The Astrid Lindgren Museum is located on the island of Jurgården, in the heart of Stockholm. It is open all year round because all exhibitions are under the roof. It’s also called Unibaken, and it’s also one of Sweden’s largest children’s theatre scenes, with performances every day.

During his lifetime, Astrid offered to make his own museum. She reacted to this proposal very creatively and made a museum in which all her fairy tales came to life: “Madiken”, “Emile from Lenneberg”, “Carlson who lives on the roof”, “Baby Nils Carlsson”, “Roni, the daughter of a robber” and “The Lionheart Brothers”.

It is difficult to call this museum and museum, rather it is a very large stage of children's theater, on which every day there are performances based on Astrid's fairy tales. The fairy-tale museum begins in a fabulous way not with a hanger, but with the Fairy Tales Square. You get to it after buying entrance tickets. And while parents are in line for a fabulous excursion car, children can come to visit the heroes of Scandinavian fairy tales, whose houses are located on Fairy Tales Square.

It is open all year round because all exhibitions are under the roof. There is also a restaurant and a bookstore. The restaurant has its own kitchen and bakery, and according to the assortment of children's books, the Unibaken store is one of the richest in Sweden, and the corresponding souvenirs and toys are immediately sold.
